Wrap-around care

Nursery

Culgaith’s Early Years provision is an important part of our school - it's where the building blocks of learning are established.

The key objectives of our nursery are for the children to have fun and to become ready for the expectations of 'big school'. This occurs through children playing and working alongside Reception and Year 1 children in Class 1 with the  development of early writing, reading and number skills, in line with the Early Years Framework, whilst still maintaining a play-led ethos with art, role-play and outdoor learning.

Our Nursery is very much integrated into the day-to-day life of our school where the Nursery children join in with assemblies and playtimes.

Please feel free to arrange a visit to have a look around.

We have a baby and toddler ‘Come and Play’ session twice a month. Please see the calendar for this terms dates. Parents and their children from our community, and beyond, are welcome in school to join Miss McWhirter and the youngest children in school for play, singing, activities and most of all, fun.

Breakfast Club

Receiving a friendly welcome, children can attend Breakfast Club 5 days a week from 7.45-8.45. Led by qualified staff, children receive a balanced breakfast and play before school. There are a number of different activities to choose from such as craft, lego and games in addition to having the chance to talk to friends, read or just have some quiet time before school.

Breakfast club is very flexible and can be used only when needed or regularly. However, it is always useful for the school to know if you will be using in regularly so we can provide appropriate resources and breakfast.

For more information and priced, please contact the office.

After School Club

Apres School is our after school kids club where the children play, learn, bake and participate in games. Children are able to be booked in from Monday to Thursday via www.parentpay.co.uk. We require the children to be booked in to After School Club in advance as far as possible. However, children can be booked in via , phone call or chat each morning before school if there has been a change of circumstance..

Each night will provide a different focus which will run concurrently with the general activities. We send out a new programme of events each term.
